How much is being lost and what do we think we know about it? Join Parks Canada for a look at some of the people and projects analysing the ice, and an introduction to those working hard to protect what’s left through bringing new data to light about these cold mountain icons.

Finally, after hiking 14 kilometres through forests and fields, you spot it—the tall, strong fences of Sweetgrass Station, standing proudly in the middle of the wild, open land.
These aren’t just any fences—they’ve been here for a long time, helping people care for and protect the mighty bison. Today, they welcome you to your camp and whisper stories of hard work, courage, and the amazing animals that call this place home. We offer a virtual adventure that will allow your students to discover the treasures of the Restigouche River, home to one of the most important underwater archaeological sites in Canada. Through the captivating story of the last naval battle for possession of New France (1760), students will learn how Parks Canada underwater archaeologists unearthed amazing artifacts such as a cannon, part of a ship’s hull, and a host of everyday objects from the period. Through this impressive collection, students will gain a better understanding of life aboard 18th – century French ships and the history of the fall of New France.
