These fun and interactive presentations explore a variety of topics including wildlife conservation, archaeological history, protecting at-risk species and more!

April 13th @ 11:00am eastern

Lizards, snakes, birds, even cacti – Canada’s most southern National Park is home to an

incredible variety of living things! Despite its small size, Point Pelee National Park is a migration hot spot for birds and butterflies, and contains one of the highest concentrations of different plant and animal species anywhere in Canada. You’ll learn about what makes Point Pelee so special, and what Parks Canada staff and their partners do to protect this unique place.

April 14th @ 12:00pm eastern

Travel north and explore Dawson City, Yukon – home of the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in, and the famous Klondike gold rush. Discover why tens of thousands journeyed to the Klondike during the late 1800’s in hopes of striking it rich, learn how the stampede forever changed the region, and see if you fall under the Spell of the Yukon. Join Parks Canada for an exciting look at this unforgettable chapter of history.

April 28th @ 11:00am eastern

Science in Jasper and Banff’s alpine is uncovering new and startling details about it’s most famous glaciers and how fast they are receding. How much is being lost and what do we think we know about it? Join Parks Canada for a look at some of the people and projects analysing the ice, and an introduction to those working hard to protect what’s left through bringing new data to light about these cold mountain icons.

April 30th @ 12:00pm eastern

You’ve heard about this place for years, and now the big adventure begins! First, you ride the bus, then a boat, your excitement growing with every bump and wave. Finally, after hiking 14 kilometres through forests and fields, you spot it—the tall, strong fences of Sweetgrass Station, standing proudly in the middle of the wild, open land.

These aren’t just any fences—they’ve been here for a long time, helping people care for and protect the mighty bison. Today, they welcome you to your camp and whisper stories of hard work, courage, and the amazing animals that call this place home. You can almost feel the history in the air as you step inside, ready for your own adventure!

May 19th @ 11:00am eastern
Port au Choix National Historic Site, located on the west coast of the island portion of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, lies on a small peninsula along the much larger Great Northern Peninsula. In addition to having 6000 years of known human history, this peninsula was once part of an ancient seafloor and today is a globally unique habitat whose landscape
holds the scarcest and tiniest of arctic- alpine plants to the largest of animals.

Upon this limestone landscape, threatened species like the Woodland Caribou live all year round and fragile plants like the Fernald’s Braya- found nowhere else- call this place home. So, come join Parks Canada along with partners Intervale and The Stewardship of Municipalities to see how they all work together tirelessly to protect and conserve this unique and resilient ecosystem and how you too can play your part in preserving the beauty and the barrens!
May 27th @ 12:00pm eastern

What can one historic place reveal about the making of Canada?

Bellevue House National Historic Site is a place where many voices come together to explore the story of Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada’s first prime minister. Guided by Parks Canada, this engaging presentation introduces who Macdonald was and explores how his ideas and decisions helped shape Confederation. Along the way, participants discover that history is more than a single sided-story, as they examine the complex legacy of Macdonald and learn about the people and communities—especially Indigenous Peoples—affected by his leadership. Through storytelling and conversation, Bellevue House invites learners of all ages to ask big questions, consider different perspectives, and reflect on why Canada’s past still matters today.

June 5th @ 11:00am eastern

We offer a virtual adventure that will allow your students to discover the treasures of the Restigouche River, home to one of the most important underwater archaeological sites in Canada. Through the captivating story of the last naval battle for possession of New France (1760), students will learn how Parks Canada underwater archaeologists unearthed amazing artifacts such as a cannon, part of a ship’s hull, and a host of everyday objects from the period. Through this impressive collection, students will gain a better understanding of life aboard 18th  century French ships and the history of the fall of New France.
