National Wildlife Week Webinar Series

National Wildlife Week Webinar Series

April 7th - 10th, 2026

The Canadian Wildlife Federation proudly presents a series of webinars with the organization’s passionate experts as they share their research and knowledge in celebration of National Wildlife Week!

Each live lesson will explore critical Canadian creatures found in unique ecosystems: from saltwater to freshwater, and from on the ground to in the sky. The Canadian Wildlife Federation’s scientists and storytellers will discuss the ways that animals’ five senses are like those of human beings—but also how they can be very different. Join these encounters with some of the wonderful creatures found throughout Canada!

April 7th @ 12:00pm eastern

Bats are renowned for their powerful sense of hearing, which enables them to effectively hunt and navigate in the dark. Join James Page from The Canadian Wildlife Federation to learn more about bat adaptations and behaviour.

April 8th @ 12:00pm eastern

Like many animals, bees see the world a little differently than humans. They have the ability to see colours that the human eye cannot, allowing them to find food sources that would otherwise be invisible. Join Sarah Coulber from The Canadian Wildlife Federation for more of the buzz on bees!

April 9th @ 12:00pm eastern

Life is very different underwater, and the animals that live below the surface experience the world in ways that can be hard to imagine. The American Eel has a keenly developed sense of touch, allowing it to detect the presence of other animals nearby that might not be picked up by other senses. Join Nicolas Lapointe from The Canadian Wildlife Federation for more on the deal with eels!

April 10th @ 1:00pm eastern
