Nondas Silva is a Brazilian social and environmental entrepreneur from the Cerrado region of Northern Minas Gerais. He is the founder and president of Instituto New Era, a youth-led organization advancing community-based ecosystem restoration in the Brazilian Cerrado.
His work focuses on strengthening local restoration capacity, promoting environmental education, and building inclusive governance models that place traditional and Indigenous peoples at the center of territorial development. By bridging scientific knowledge with Indigenous and traditional wisdom, he fosters locally rooted, socially just, and climate-resilient solutions.
