Meg Lowman (nicknamed CanopyMeg by kids) is the world’s first global arbornaut. She has worked in over 40 countries and pioneered the toolkit for exploring the “8th continent,” ie. the forest canopy. She passionately mentors girls and underserved students, and recently started MIssion Green to save the world’s last, highest biodiverse forests by building canopy walkways and employing indigenous women in ecotourism. She received The Explorers Club Medal of Exploration in 2023, and is the author of 11 books, most recently a memoir called The Arbornaut.
