World’s Most Exciting Classrooms Episode 068: Sailing Across the Pacific

Description

World’s Most Exciting Classrooms Episode 068: Sailing Across the Pacific

The Oosterschelde has left Christchurch, New Zealand and is sailing for 7 weeks, nonstop, across the Pacific Ocean! These are the roughest waters on the planet, so it’s sure to be an adventure!

In this week’s episode of the World’s Most Exciting Classroom:

-We’ll have a live connection from the ship.

-Explore the deep-sea with us! As the ship is sailing across the Pacific, we’re going to take a look at what lies beneath by highlighting an expedition that used robots to explore parts of the seafloor that no human has ever seen!

-We’ll have a Darwin Leader join us to share their experience working in the field with one of our conservation projects.

As always, we’ll have a Kahoot quiz, a new experiment and curiosity of the week for classrooms to try!
