Under Pressure: Exploring the DeepSea Challenger Sub at the RCGS

Description

Under Pressure: Exploring the DeepSea Challenger Sub at the RCGS

In March of 2012 Director and Explorer James Cameron descended to the bottom of Challenger Deep – the world’s deepest point, farther down than Mt. Everest is tall – in his custom built DeepSea Challenger Submersible. In doing so, he was just the third person to go there (more people have been on the moon!) and he helped usher in a new generation of explorers of the abyss! Now housed at the Royal Canadian Geographical Society for their PRESSURE exhibit, join expert guide Bee Hancock to learn about this remarkable inner workings and the journey it took to reach the deepest point on earth!
