Ukkusiksalik – A Cultural Landscape

Description

Ukkusiksalik – A Cultural Landscape

Along the shores of Wager Bay in Nunavut, Ukkusiksalik National Park’s rolling tundra is abundant with wildlife. Polar Bears, Arctic Wolves and Caribou roam a landscape where hundreds of archaeological sites tell the stories of Inuit who have lived and travelled there for thousands of years. How did Inuit survive? And why is Ukkusiksalik still so important to Inuit now? Let’s explore some areas of the park and find out!
