In 2022, Erden completed an epic solo row across the Pacific Ocean!!! After leaving Crescent City, California on the 21st of June, 2021, Erden rowed his way across the Pacific Ocean, successfully becoming the first person to row across the Pacific Ocean north of the equator. Along the way, he raised awareness about plastic pollution and the overall health of the ocean, while also using a hydrophone to listen for rarely observed beaked whales.
