Cheyene graduated from both the Forestry and Fish and Wildlife Technician programs at Sir Sandford Fleming College and has continued her education to become an associate professional forester. For the last 11 years, Cheyene has worked for South Nation Conservation authority as both a forestry technician and an associate forester, and in that time, has coordinated the planting of over 1.5 million trees through the authority’s various tree planting programs. Her current role is acting Stewardship Coordinator for Raisin Region Conservation Authority. Cheyene has worked on numerous species at risk, invasive species, stewardship and restoration projects and programs over the term of her career.
