For years, the Snow leopard has a reputation of being extremely elusive, living in the isolated high mountains in the world away from humans. Prasenjeet spent 2 years using camera traps to follow a few specific individual snow Leopards in the remote mountain landscape they call home. Along the way he learned that they face the same human pressures as well known big cats like the lion, tiger and jaguar.
Prasenjeet is a molecular ecologist turned National Geographic Photographer & Explorer. Early in his scientific career, he realized that his real passion lay in storytelling. He now combines his experience in research with his photography skills to popularize ecological and conservation sciences in the wider society. For every story, he collaborates with researchers, managers, policymakers as well as conservationists.
