Join the River Institute at Rotary Creek to learn about the history of this manmade habitat and how it’s helping fish populations, like the cutlip minnow (a species at risk). Biologists from the River Institute will be sampling for fish in the creek with seine nets. Students will learn proper equipment techniques and watch field work live. Students will have an opportunity to see how research scientists collect data on fish (length measurements, weight, etc) and ask questions.
