Meet Shane Byrne, he’s the HiRISE principal investigator and a professor at the University of Arizona’s Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. Recently the HiRISE camera aboard NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter got a unique view, as the interstellar object 3l/Atlas as it passed less than 19 million miles from Mars.
