Meet George Cheng, he was one of last year’s finalists for The Earth Prize. George and his team created Floodgate, a program that uses AI to generate 3D flood inundation models for anywhere on the planet.
The Earth Prize is the world’s largest environmental competition and ‘ideas incubator’ for young people, empowering 13-19 year olds with mentorship and $100K funding. Since 2021, the prize has reached over 10,000 young people, across 154 countries and territories, having awarded $500K (and counting) so far to the top teams.
