Daily Dive # 120 | Bats with Glow in the Dark Feet

Description

Daily Dive # 120 | Bats with Glow in the Dark Feet

Meet biologist Fernando Gual-Suárez, a student at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. He and his colleagues found hairs on the feet of Mexican free-tailed bats fluoresce under UV light.

Dig Deeper: bats provide a lot of ecosystem services for us humans, can you describe three of them?

EBTSOYP Daily Dives take students on a trip to the frontlines of science, exploration, conservation, and adventure to learn about the newest discoveries, conservation stories, expeditions, and more. Each school day @ 8:00am eastern, we release a new 5-7 minute video along with a 5 minute minds on activity for students.
