Daily Dive # 094 | Studying Territorial Behaviour in Chimpanzees

Meet Isabelle Clark, she’s a primatologist getting her PhD at the University of Texas in Austin. She’s currently spending a year in Kibale National Park in Western Uganda with the Ngogo Chimpanzee Project. She’s spending her days in the field exploring how territorial behaviour develops in young chimpanzees.

Dig Deeper: Poaching and deforestation is the main threat to chimpanzees in Kibale National Park. What are snares? Are Chimpanzees the intended target of them? How are they impacting chimpanzees in Kibale National Park?
