Meet Josua Benjamin, he’s a PhD student at the University of Florida. His focus in on freshwater biodiversity, particularly on macroinvertebrates (the small insect larva, snail, clams, etc) found in rivers. By sampling fish, macroinvertebrates, water and sediments, he’s working to get a clear picture of the health of Kenya’s famed Mara River.
