Daily Dive # 048 | Warming of the Ocean’s Twilight Zone

Meet Katherine Crichton, a researcher from University of Exeter who creates models of Earth Systems. She led a study looking at two warm periods in Earth’s past, about 50 million years ago and 15 million years ago to see how life in the mesopelagic (twilight) zone of the ocean will change with continuing warming. Spoiler alert, it’s not good!

Dig Deeper: Identify and describe the other 4 depth zones of the ocean.
