Meet Noel Richardson, an assistant professor in the Physics and Astronomy Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He’s studying two starts that will eventually form a kilonova. These are are extraordinarily rare, only about 10 of them in the Milky Way Galaxy, but very important as they produce heavy elements like uranium and gold.
