Daily Dive # 002 | Flying Into Arctic Cyclones

Meet John Methven, a Professor in Atmospheric Dynamics Department of Meteorology at the University of Reading in the UK. They are trying to fly their small research aircraft through summer cyclones at very low levels. These measurements will build a picture of how storms interact with sea ice.

Dig Deeper: Sea ice in the Arctic Ocean is disappearing due to climate change, research why sea ice is important to the Arctic ecosystem and the planet.
