Lachlan Swamp in Centennial Park is home to up to 45,000 Grey-Headed Flying-Foxes. They roost during the day and become active as the sunsets before dispersing across the city in search of nectar and fruits. They are incredibly important to the forest ecosystem, pollinating over 50 species of trees and dispersing the seeds of another 50+ species.
