Meet Michael Skvarla, he’s and entomologist and a professor at Pennsylvania State University. On a grocery trip to Walmart, he found a Jurassic-era insect, last seen in the area in the 1950’s….but it was a decade before he realized what he found!

Dig Deeper: There are many cases where plants or animals have been thought to be locally extinct or extinct. Find and summarize the story of a species thought to be lost, but rediscovered later.
